Electricity Utility Network

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on modeling, managing, and validating electricity distribution networks using GIS. It covers the full workflow of electricity network data, from field data collection and AutoCAD conversion to network modeling, quality control, and analysis in ArcGIS Pro.

Participants will learn how to represent medium- and low-voltage networks (overhead and underground), manage stations and equipment, build network layers, and ensure data integrity through topology and Data Reviewer tools. The course also introduces geometric networks and utility network analysis for electricity infrastructure projects.

You will learn to:

• Understand electricity network components and infrastructure types

• Convert and manage AutoCAD electricity data in GIS

• Model MV and LV networks (overhead and underground)

• Apply QC steps using topology and Data Reviewer

• Build and analyze electricity networks in ArcGIS Pro
